At the bottom of a template’s construction window, you’ll find the “VED Tracking Preset” toggle, which allows you to preconfigure optional VED (Visual Element Data) variables for every element based on this template.
When this preset is enabled, an element creator does not have to manually reconfigure this tracking each time they create a new element from the template, which ensures consistency in the measurement data across all elements derived from the same template.
VED tracking is particularly relevant when you want to be able to see in Data & Insights or Conversion Studio which specific part within a creative element (for example, a particular button or image) led to a click or conversion, rather than just knowing that the element as a whole generated a click.
Therefore, configure this preset primarily for templates used in important, frequently used campaigns, where granular insights into user behavior provide added value.
