The combination of orientation, resolution, and location determines how content is displayed on a screen, both technically and visually.
The screen orientation—Landscape or Portrait—must match the actual orientation of the physical screen; an incorrect setting here will cause content to be displayed on its side or distorted.
The screen resolution must match the actual pixel dimensions of the screen, so that elements are displayed sharply and at the correct scale without unnecessary stretching or compression.
The location—entered as a city—and the corresponding time zone have a more direct impact than merely administrative information: they are used to ensure that content scheduling aligns correctly with the screen’s local time, and to enable location-specific reports and analyses when managing multiple screens in different locations. For organizations with screens in different countries or time zones, it is therefore important to carefully check this setting for each screen, rather than using a default value everywhere.
