To connect a physical screen to Sturely, go to the Signage Screens module and click on “New Screen”. In the “Add New Screen” form, give the screen a recognizable screen name and enter the unique ID (UID), the technical identification code that links the physical screen or its associated player to this record in Sturely.
Next, select the screen resolution from a list of commonly used standards such as Full High Definition (FHD, 1920×1080), and you can optionally enter the screen model—for example, the device’s brand and model number—which will help with technical maintenance later on.
In addition, you specify the screen orientation (Landscape or Portrait), link the screen to a signage set if applicable, and enter the location in the form of a city and time zone, so that scheduling and reporting always occur in the correct local time.
At the bottom of the form, you can configure the display settings, such as “Contain,” which determines how content adapts to the screen: the content is scaled down to fit entirely within the screen while retaining its original shape, which may result in empty bars.
Once the screen is ready, confirm the connection by clicking the “Screen Connect” button.
