Using Element Statuses and Previews

An element in Sturely has a status—usually “Active”—that indicates whether the element can, in principle, be displayed when used by a campaign.

An element with an inactive status remains stored in the library but is not delivered, even if it is linked to an active campaign; this is useful for temporarily taking an element out of use without having to delete it or unlink it from campaigns.

Next to each active element in the overview, you’ll find a “Preview” link that lets you view the element as it actually appears, without having to go to the live website. Be sure to use this preview consistently after creating or editing an element—and especially after modifying a linked template or Digital Media Asset—to verify that text, images, and formatting are displayed correctly before the campaign goes live.
