A domain determines how campaigns, positions, and tracking logic are linked together and ultimately delivered to visitors.
To add a new domain, first enter a domain name and the actual domain URL; all subdomains of that base URL are automatically included, so you don’t have to create a separate domain for each subdomain.
You’ll also select a status (default: Active) and a industry category, and you can optionally add a description to make the domain easier for colleagues to recognize.
When creating a domain, you can also choose to skip the CNAME verification. Sturely explicitly warns that skipping this verification means that no GDPR-compliant technology, such as a first-party cookie, can be used for that domain.
This consideration is important for organizations that have strict requirements regarding data protection and tracking accuracy, and is therefore intentionally included as an explicit choice in the creation process rather than as a hidden setting.
