The “Data Protection” section within System Settings allows you to manage the contact details of the people Sturely is authorised to contact regarding data protection matters.
Here, you can set up a primary contact person with their name, email address, telephone number and full address, and, where applicable, you can also appoint a separate data protection officer or an EU representative. If the latter is the same person as the primary contact, you can indicate this using the “Same as primary contact” toggle, so that you do not have to enter the details twice.
This setting is particularly relevant for organisations which, in accordance with the GDPR, are obliged to appoint a data protection officer or, as a non-European organisation, must appoint an EU representative.
Sturely uses this contact information to send relevant updates on data protection directly to the appropriate person within the organisation, so it is important to keep these contact details up to date at all times.
