A position is a fixed, strategically determined spot on a domain where campaigns and their associated elements are displayed.
You can think of a position as a kind of marketing drop zone: a specific spot in a website’s layout—such as the header, the sidebar, or a specific block in the footer—that has been technically configured in advance to receive content from Sturely.
Each position belongs to exactly one domain and is further refined within that domain by a zone—a customizable label such as “header” or “mid”—that describes the exact location on that domain’s page.
In the Positions overview, you can see for each position the linked domain, the zone, the configured fallback element, which element types are allowed, and the current status. This combined structure of domain and zone ensures that you can reuse positions with the same name or purpose across different domains, while the system still knows exactly which technical insertion point on which website is intended.
