Using the “Create Smart Audience” button, you can build an audience using a more advanced, criteria-driven approach. You give the audience a name, select up to four source campaigns whose VED and interaction data will serve as the basis, and optionally link the audience to an audience set.
Next, in the “Audience Criteria” section, you set up inclusion and exclusion rules based on VED variables, interactions, and languages, allowing you to precisely determine who does and does not belong to the audience.
This criteria-driven approach goes beyond a simple target audience based on a single campaign: by combining multiple source campaigns and applying specific behavioral rules—for example, only visitors who clicked on a certain element but did not convert—you can create target audiences that precisely align with a specific marketing goal.
