The Data Collection subtab

The Data Collection section within the Performance tab provides insight into how the underlying tracking data is collected for the selected campaigns and positions, focusing on the technical and compliance aspects of this collection.

This section is closely related to a domain’s CNAME verification status, because a verified domain allows the use of first-party cookie technology, which typically results in more accurate and complete data collection than with an unverified domain.

For organizations that place a high priority on data protection, this section serves as the ideal starting point for verifying whether data collection for a specific domain or campaign is proceeding as expected, and for promptly reporting any shortcomings—such as a missed CNAME verification—to the technical manager responsible for the domain in question.
